Had dinner here the other day and was genuinely impressed. The food was incredibly authentic; rich, bold flavours that really stood out. Easily some of the best Indian food I’ve had outside of India. The place was busy (for good reason), so I’d recommend making a reservation to avoid waiting. The staff were really kind and welcoming, and you can tell the chefs put a lot of care into every dish. The drinks were also great, a good selection, and everything we tried paired nicely with the food. Will absolutely be coming back.

Came here to eat without a reservation with a group of 4, no tables left inside so we could sit outside. Staff was quick and friendly, food didn’t take too long to arrive either. We had butter chicken, it was nice, portions were fine it gets served with rice and you can buy naan seperate.

Only tip; maybe to keep better track of the restrooms, both toiler paper and paper to dry your hands with had both ran out.

It was booked out but we were still allowed to take a table. Service was friendly, prompt and attentive. We ordered pepper Chicken roast with crispy Dosa and a vegetable biryani. Everything was delicious although the Dosa was cold and the biryani was on the pilaw side.

I went to this place today with my office colleagues. I have reserved the table before since more than 10 people were going. I really liked the hospitality and their service. Food was awesome. We all enjoyed the time and food in the restaurant.

Dining at Taamaraa was an absolute delight. The food was incredibly fresh and bursting with flavor. It’s definitely a place worth visiting—and it’s quickly become our go-to hangout spot. The ambiance is inviting, and the staff are genuinely kind and attentive.

I'm always on the look for new restaurants and trying them out. This was on my list for a while. The food is delicious and the service is absolutely amazing. The best Indian food I had in Utrecht so far. I'll be back. I sat outside so can't say anything about inside atmosphere or sound.

Ik wilde al heel lang bij @taamaraa_nl eten in Utrecht. En ik had veel eerder moeten gaan: het was ontzettend lekker. De eigenaar bood garlic naanbrood aan wat ook een beetje spicy was, romig en zacht van smaak. Nog nooit at ik zulk lekker naanbrood. We bestelden de echte Taamaraagerechten: vegetarische paneer-spinazie dumplings in tomatensaus. Een zachte beetje pittige mix van groenten en kaas.
En de gekruide kip in geroosterde Kongu-kruiden en curryblaadjes. Een regionale Tamil-klassieker. Deze was zo zacht en toch met een bite. Lang geleden dat ik zo lekker en verfijnd heb gegeten. Ik wist weer waarom ik vroeger vaak uit eten ging: om de passie van iemand anders gebruiken/keuken en geschiedenis te proeven. En wat een bijzonder lieve eigenaren.
